Terms of service

What FreshStartr is
FreshStartr rewrites and tailors résumés and cover letters using AI, with deterministic verification that checks the output against your own documents. It’s a tool that works on what you give it — you’re responsible for what you submit to employers, and you should review every document before sending it. We verify against your claims; we can’t verify that your claims are true.
Your account
You need to be at least 18 and give accurate account information. Your documents remain yours — we claim no ownership over anything you upload or anything we generate for you. Don’t use the service to produce documents for fraud or impersonation, don’t abuse the systems (scraping, reselling access, circumventing limits), and don’t upload content you have no right to use.
Plans, billing, cancellation
The free plan has daily limits, stated in the product. Pro is $19/month or $7/week, billed through Stripe until you cancel. Cancel anytime, self-serve, from Manage subscription — you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, then it just stops. Refunds: canceling stops future charges but the current period is not refunded — you keep Pro until it ends. If you were charged in error (a duplicate charge, a charge after cancellation, or a service failure on our side), email hello@stratfordmeridianlabs.com within 14 days of the charge and we’ll refund it in full to your original payment method.
Honest limitations
We don’t guarantee interviews, offers, or that any applicant tracking system will parse any document perfectly. AI output can contain mistakes even with verification — review your documents. The service is provided as-is; to the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability for anything arising from the service is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited.
Housekeeping
We can suspend accounts that break these terms. If we make material changes to these terms or to your subscription terms (including price), we’ll email the address on your account before the change takes effect, with instructions for canceling if you don’t agree; continued use after the effective date means acceptance.
